Essential Endoscopy Training
The training of staff in the endoscopy suite is becoming increasingly important in order to ensure that staff are not only using equipment correctly but that they are also aware of current standards and guidelines. This is a requirement for JAG accreditation.
LTE Scientific employs a Clinical Nurse Advisor (CNA) who is a registered general nurse on part 1 of the register and has many years experience in the fields of endoscopy, infection control and theatres in the NHS.
A range of evidence based in-house and on-site training courses can be developed to suit individual client needs.
Visits by LTE’s CNA can also be arranged to offer impartial advice and guidance.
Typical training courses can be split into full or half-day sessions, catering for different group sizes or accommodating shift patterns.
Annual update training can be provided for AER’s, endoscope storage and general decontamination issues. Annual updates are recommended to ensure compliance with current standards.
LTE’s training courses provide disciplined, individual and comprehensive training which will enable the user to maintain standards compliant with HTM 2030, HTM01-06, and clinical guidelines such as the Department of Health’s decontamination standards for flexible endoscopy.
Training courses are structured to ensure that satisfactory standard of practice is maintained by means of individual competency based assessments leading to certification at the end of the course.
