As well as servicing, repairs and testing, LTE contract plans provide support in fulfilling legal and regulatory inspection requirements – LTE is accredited to the latest versions of ISO 9001, ISO13485 and ISO17025 (UKAS).

LTE Service Centre provides a nationwide team of highly skilled on-call engineers – fully qualified to carry out service and testing to UKAS and HTM01-01 part C guidelines.

We offer telephone assistance weekdays, 9am-5pm, and if required, out-of-hours support via a dedicated technical and administration team who are on hand to deal with queries, maintenance bookings, repairs and call outs.

What we cover

LTE provides repair and maintenance cover for its in-house manufactured autoclave/sterilization equipment alongside all major manufacturers and models of laboratory, life science, pharma and food manufacturing autoclave machines and porous load sterilizers within hospital central sterilizing (CSSD) departments.

We specialise in tailoring contracts to specific customer requirements.

LTE contract services include:

  • Routine periodic servicing
  • Periodic, quarterly or annual testing in accordance with recognised industry standards
  • Repairs
  • Annual inspection – including vessel and generator insurance inspections
  • Hydraulic testing
  • Priority call outs

Fully comprehensive service and maintenance contracts are available upon on request.

Upon completion of servicing, maintenance or repairs you’ll receive an LTE engineers report detailing the work carried out for you to sign.

Common autoclave faults and issues

Problems and issues arise from time to time, it’s an unavoidable fact, but some are more common than others and many of these can be prevented or resolved with regular autoclave servicing and maintenance.

Door seals

If not checked and replaced regularly, door seals can fail over time due to wear and tear, causing internal pressure issues.

Load Probes

If not checked regularly, or if damaged during use, load probes can fail, causing unnecessary down-time.

Air filters

Air filters should be changed on a regular basis to avoid blockages which result in false autoclave machine readings.

Water quality

Water quality needs to be checked on a regular basis to avoid problems with the boiler and / or heaters, caused by scale and / or sediment build up.

Breakage and Spillage

This happens in autoclaves, failing to clear the breakage/spillage can cause a number of reliability issues such as blocked lines, stuck valves etc which will all increase down time.

This helps to safeguard the autoclave machine’s lifespan.

Our service engineers will also carry out a detailed service component inspection which is based on our many years of maintenance experience.

In many cases, the inspection can identify issues before they occur, helping to ensure optimal performance.

We always recommend that servicing and the replacement of service parts is completed when stipulated to protect the life-expectancy of the application.
