LTE Scientific are excited to announce the appointment of their new purchasing manager Andy Bottomley.
Andy is joining LTE from a strong background in supply chain, procurement and stock management, with a total of 35+ years’ experience.
Prior to joining LTE, Andy was the service centre manager at Eriks Integrated Solutions where he was responsible for helping clients to reduce their maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) costs, in addition to stock and indirect product procurement in line with tight deadlines.
During his 15 years at Eriks and 20+ years prior as purchasing manager for an electrical wholesale distributor, Andy has built up and maintained many strong professional relationships utilising his strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, which are sure to be helpful as he continues his career here at LTE.
When asked why LTE, Andy said “I am delighted to be joining such a forward thinking, long-established UK manufacturer of laboratory and medical equipment. I have been with LTE for almost 2 weeks now, all the staff are very friendly and I am looking forward to building strong relations with the LTE team and suppliers to help LTE achieve its full potential.”
When not working Andy enjoys spending time with his family and 4 dogs. He is also a sports fan and can often be found supporting his local football team Huddersfield Town.
Andy has already proven to be a productive member of the team and given his strong background in procurement management and interpersonal skills he is sure to flourish with the company going forward.
