Designed and built in the UK, the LTE Touchclave-ecotech autoclave combines a high level of standard features with exceptionally low energy and water usage. Having responded to increasing customer demands to reduce their carbon footprint and utility costs, the Touchclave-ecotech is simply the most technically advanced and ‘greenest’ multi-purpose autoclave of its type.
The ecotech range currently comprises 2 x front loading models of 40 and 60-litres, both of which can be bench mounted, plus a 60-litre top-loading model with low loading height.
ecotech’s unique external steam generation system saves both water usage and energy. No more waiting for water reservoirs to heat up as the new ecotech starts delivering steam in around a minute, resulting in efficient cycle times and important energy savings.
Further energy savings are achieved thanks to LTE’s innovative methods for harnessing and recycling the heat energy within the system, and also by using the cooled condensate water during the cooling phase to supplement the effect of the external fans. Both these unique systems have patents pending.
The single piece 316L grade stainless steel pressure vessel is completely seamless providing a smooth and clean interior.
ecotech’s door locking system automatically draws the door closed, applying the right amount of pressure to achieve a positive seal every time. At the end of the cycle, the door is opened via the touchscreen.
Auto-fill and auto-drain is a standard feature ensuring that each cycle starts with a clean charge of water.
At the heart of the new ecotech range is LTE’s intuitive new icon driven TFT colour touchscreen control system which comes with 8 programmable cycles as standard. This is optionally expandable.
All cycles are customer configurable and can be programmed at the machine interface or on a PC using LTE’s ‘Smart Create’ software, and then downloaded into the autoclave memory via the built-in USB port.
The TFT touchscreen not only displays temperatures and pressure but also cycle stage data and in-cycle messages, thus giving the user a complete overview of cycle progress and status.
The facility for remote data archiving of cycles via Ethernet connection to a PC is supplied on all machines. ecotech includes internal data archiving as standard and all data can be uploaded to a USB Ffash drive
When ecotech isn’t in use, it will automatically go into one of its sleep modes, effectively going to ‘standby’ and drawing minimal power. Simply touching the screen will wake the system up. Alternatively, it can be programmed to wake up and start a cycle through the delayed start feature.
The result is that energy usage is reduced by up to 20%, water usage is reduced by 70% and cycles are anything up to 29 minutes faster, when measured against comparable systems.
Energy savings are not limited to the cycle efficiency. Manufacturing methods deliver further savings. For example, the way our new pressure vessel is manufactured uses 80% less power than traditional fabrication methods. Our packaging is eco-friendly, and the fact that ecotech is the lightest machine in its class means that less fuel is needed to deliver the product.
