What is
LTE's track record? LTE was established in 1947
and is one of the oldest laboratory equipment manufacturers
in Britain.
Is
LTE UKAS accredited?
LTE is a UKAS laboratory accredited for time, pressure and temperature calibration
and validation.
Does
LTE deal through distributors?
LTE has its own direct sales force as well as a network of UK and overseas
distributors.
Can
LTE offer service, repairs and calibration?
LTE are able to offer service and testing on a quarterly and annual basis to
HTM 2010 and HTM 2030 via its nationwide network of Service Engineers.
Can
LTE offer a repair service on other manufacturers'
equipment?
Generally yes, however we would need to check the specific equipment in question
prior to giving the customer any undertaking. See our Service
Section for full
details.
What type
of autoclaves/sterilizers do LTE manufacture?
LTE manufacture a range of steam sterilizers for the laboratory, pharmaceutical
and
healthcare markets. We offer chamber capacities from 30 litres to 10,000 litres. Cylindrical
and Rectangular chambers are available for all applications.
Do LTE have equipment for
hire?
Yes, we regularly have a stock of loan equipment. Call +44(0) 1457 876221 for
details.
Can LTE offer different
finance options to customers?
LTE have a special agreement for leasing arrangements with the Royal Bank of
Scotland.
What is the benefit of a Vacuum System
on an autoclave?
It assists with drying and air removal. It offers assurance of improved
sterility, it shortens cycle times and increases productivity in
the laboratory. It can also provide better levels of dryness within the load
at the end of the cycle.
What is the benefit of Air Ballast?
Air Ballast allows sealed fluids to be processed with shortened cycle times and
reduced risk of container ruptures.
It
also assists the cooling process. Shorter cycle times mean increased
productivity.
When would I use Effluent Retention
(Cat.3)?
Effluent Retention (Cat.3) is generally specified were P3 loads are being processed
and where you need assurances that all exhaust materials have been filtered /
sterilized.
What is Effluent
Retention (Cat. 3)?
Cat. 3 involves the fitting of an in line 0.2 micron bacterial filter, which
filters
all non- condensable gases, before being exhausted to the atmosphere. All condensable
gases are returned to the chamber for sterilization before discharge.
What benefit does a Water Jacket offer?
The Water Jacket speeds up the cooling process, reducing overall cycle times more effectively than a water cooling coil or cooling fan.
What benefit does a Steam Jacket offer?
Steam Jackets are used to assist the drying stage by 'flashing off' residual
water
in or around the load. Steam jackets keep the chamber walls
hot
between cycles, thus reducing overall cycle times.
What autoclave do I need for processing
liquids?
The Touchclave-Lab is ideal for processing liquids, because it is fitted with a water
jacket
which aids the cooling process. If you intend processing sealed fluids, you may wish to specify an air ballast system which will help speed up cycle times whilst
at
the
same time eliminate the risk of rupturing containers.
How can I speed up my autoclave cycle
times?
LTE offers a number of enhancement options such as Water Jacket, Steam Jacket,
Vacuum System and Air ballast. Depending on your application, one or more of
these options may be selected. We would be happy to discuss your requirements
with you.
