'Mediclave' Autoclave
The new 'Mediclave' Autoclave from LTE Scientific

LTE ‘Mediclave’ range of autoclaves are some of the most comprehensively equipped medical steam sterilizers available. Designed to incorporate features which will result in faster cycles and improved efficiency, the ‘Mediclave’ range is available in 6, 18 and 23 litre sizes.
B, S and N-Class variants are available, and all
units comply with:
- Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EC
- Small Steam Sterilizers Directive EN13060
- Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC
- CEI Directives EN 61326-1, EN 61010-1 and EN 61010-2-40
The principal features of the LTE ‘Mediclave’ autoclave range are as follows:
6, 18 and 23-litre chamber capacities – All models include a one-piece high grade stainless steel pressure vessel. Because the vessel is seamless, the chamber is totally smooth inside. Furthermore the integrity of our vessels is guaranteed for 5-years.
Control system – Depending on the Class of autoclave, up to 12 pre-programmed cycles are installed onto each model. See table opposite for details. All cycle data, status and messages are clearly displayed on an LCD screen. An audible alarm will alert you to any cycle abnormality.
Separate steam generator - A major feature of this product is its innovative steam generator. This design has many advantages. Steam is generated quickly, helping to reduce overall cycle times. There are no heaters in the bottom of the chamber ensuring that the chamber is clean and unencumbered at all times. This in turn helps to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Motorised door – Our unique door system has no bolts and no levers. At the end of the cycle, the motorised door bolt releases the door, which can then be opened. The autoclave senses when the door has been closed, and the door bolt automatically seals the door against the vessel ready for cycle start.
Fill and drain tanks – ‘Mediclave’ autoclaves are fitted with integral clean water and waste tanks. Each tank has sensors to alert you when empty or full. Both tanks have quick connections for easy filling and draining, and they can, if desired be permanently connected to a water supply and drain.
Vacuum pump – Our B and S Class models are fitted with vacuum pumps to aid the air removal and cooling. See table opposite to find out which load types suit each class of autoclave.
Printer – A data printer is fitted as standard to all models.

Option & Accessories
A number of options can be fitted to or supplied with ‘Mediclave’ autoclaves, including:
Demineralised water supplies – The high quality of water is essential for the smooth and reliable operation of all medical autoclaves. LTE can provide a number of solutions to ensure a constant supply of demineralised water either just for your sterilizer, or indeed for other equipment within the practice.
USB data logger – This option records the cycle data onto a memory stick. The information can be downloaded onto a PC via the supplied software. Information can be displayed numerically or graphically.
Test kits – It is essential to ensure on a regular basis that your autoclave is performing correctly. LTE can provide bowie Dick test packs for porous loads, Helix Test kits for hollow instruments, along with Chemical indicators and spore kits to check each sterilization cycle. For the spore kits we also supply the 8-hole electronic incubator.
