From
the East Midlands or South via the M1
Leave the M1 north of Sheffield
at Jct 35A (signed to Manchester). Take the A616 over
two islands, then after approx. 11 miles go over next
island (ignoring sign left to Manchester). Continue
on A616 to New Mill, then turn left onto A635 to Holmfirth.
Turn left at lights in Holmfirth, then fork right on
A635 to Greenfield over Saddleworth Moor. Upon entering
Greenfield, turn right at the mini-island onto Chew
Valley
Road. After approximately 1/4 mile, turn left into
Greenbridge Lane, then right at sign to LTE.
From the West Midlands or Southwest via the M6
Leave
the M6 at Jct 19 and take A556 Manchester direction.
After 3 miles turn onto M56 to Manchester Airport.
After passing Airport, filter left to Stockport on
M56 until
it joins M60 anticlockwise. Continue on M60 past Stockport
and exit at Jct 23 to Ashton-under-Lyne. Turn right
onto A635, past Ashton, and follow signs to Barnsley.
After
2 miles, filter left before Stalybridge, and stay on
A635 for a further 4 miles through Mossley until entering
Greenfield. At far end of Greenfield, turn left at
the mini-island onto Chew Valley Road. After approximately
1/4 mile, turn left into Greenbridge Lane, then right
at sign to LTE.
From the North West or North via the M62
Leave the
M62 at Jct 20 onto A627(M) south, and take second exit
A627 to Oldham. Cross two islands and join Oldham bypass.
At island with railway viaduct at end of bypass, take
third exit A669 signed to Lees and Holmfirth. After 3
miles enter Grasscroft, joining A670 at Farrars Arms.
After half-mile, turn right downhill and round hairpin
bend into Greenfield (Chew Valley Road). After post office
on right, turn right into Greenbridge Lane, then right
at sign to LTE. |
